GF82.60-P-2003TJ Volume/Tone Adjustments, Function

GF82.60-P-2003TJ Volume/Tone Adjustments, Function
- with CODE (529) HIGH Class Japan

All volume and sound adjustments are performed at the COMAND operating, display and control module (A40/3) and transferred via the MOST optical fiber ring to the audio gateway control module (N93/1).
The audio component, which is integrated into the audio gateway control unit (N93/1), processes the signals necessary for volume and sound adjustments.

The audio amplifier is located in the audio gateway control unit (N93/1). By means of the digital sound processor with its expanded sound processing stage and amplifier stage, additional room sound adjustments and a further final amplification are possible.

Volume setting
The volume adjustment is regulated at the rotary controller of the COMAND operating, display and control module (A40/3) in each case for the audio source adjusted. It can be adjusted separately in all audio and service areas (telephone, audio).
The difference between the volume of the audio signal and voice output for navigation, voice control system and traffic reports can be adjusted in the "audio" menu. This means that voice output remains easily audible even in the case of loud audio output. The volume of the voice output can also be changed during a voice output.

Sound adjustment
The COMAND operating, display and control module (A40/3) makes possible manual sound adjustments (bass, treble, balance, fader) for each audio source.
The "Sound" menu in which the desired adjustment can be performed is reached via the main function key for tone adjustment in the left you reach the "Sound" menu where the desired adjustment can be made.
It can be adjusted separately for each function such as radio, CD, MD, traffic announcements, VCS, telephone, navigation and TV. With a change in sound emphasis (balance, fader) the ratio of the volume of the individual speakers changes.
The "Balance/Fading" adjustments can be reached by pressing the main function key for sound distribution in the left control panel.

A catastrophe message has priority over all other audio sources. Settings made during navigation voice output apply as the absolute level for the subsequent navigation voice output.

SDV/dynamic range optimization
Via speed-dependent volume control (SDV) and automatic vehicle interior noise adaptation, Dynamic Range Optimization, the volume is adapted to the background noise in the vehicle interior. In the process the vehicle speed signal and signal input to the sound amplifier microphone (B25/6) are used as a relationship indicator.

Mute (volume reduction)
If the user presses the "Mute" function key, the audio source currently being listened to is muted, MD and audio CD disk drives go over to standby.
