GF91.29-P-5231CE Driver Seat Control Unit Component Description
GF91.29-P-5231CE Driver Seat Control Unit Component Description
- with CODE (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors)
Component Identification:
Location
The driver seat control unit (N32/1) is beneath the seat surface on the frame of the driver seat.
Task
- Control of the seat and steering column adjustment as per the requests via the interior CAN (CAN B)
- Storing the memory settings for seat, steering column, and outside mirror
- Control of the easy entry/exit feature
- Actuation of head restraint presetting (not ECE and UK)
These are grouped as follows:
^ Reading in of sensors and signals
^ Evaluating input factors
^ Actuation of components
Reading in of sensors and signals
These input factors are read in via the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN
Direct line
- Circuit 30
- Circuit 31
The following sensors are read in via direct lines:
- Hall sensors of the seat adjustment motors
- Hall sensors of the steering column adjustment motors
Interior CAN
The signals of the seat and steering column switch are sent to the interior CAN by the left front door control unit (N69/1), the right front door control unit (N69/2) and the steering column tube module control unit (N80) and transmitted to the driver seat control unit.
Evaluation of input factors
The read in input factors are evaluated by the driver seat control unit. The actuation of the motors for seat and steering column adjustment takes place via integrated relays.
Actuation of components
The actuation of the components takes place via the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN
Direct line
The following motors are actuated via direct lines:
- Steering column in/out adjustment motor (M20/1)
- Steering column up/down adjustment motor (M20/2)
- Driver seat fore/aft adjustment motor (M27/1)
- Driver seat height adjustment motor (M27/2)
- Driver seat inclination adjustment motor (M27/3)
- Driver seat head restraint adjustment motor (M27/4)
- Driver seat backrest inclination adjustment motor (M27/5)
Interior CAN
The signals for actuating the memory positions of the outside mirrors are transmitted via interior CAN to the left front door control unit and the right front door control unit.
Variants
There are no variants for the hardware of the driver seat control unit.
The country or left-hand drive vehicle/right hand drive vehicle allocation is software coded.
