AR67.20-P-3001-02V Install Lower Frame Seal For Rear Window On Vario Roof

Repair Materials:

1. Fill groove (1) of lower sealing frame (5) flush with sealant (2) along course of gasket between left and right inner threaded pin (9).
2. Apply double quantity of sealant (2) at both ends of groove (1) as shown.
Carefully apply sealant (2), otherwise leakage can occur later.
Dimension A is 50 mm.

3. Apply sealant (4) at both lower ends of rear window frame (3) as shown.
Carefully apply sealant (4), otherwise leakage can occur later.
Dimension B is 50 mm.

4. Push lower sealing frame (5) over rear window frame (3) and simultaneously install threaded pin (9) in corresponding holes in rear window frame (3).
Install lower sealing frame (5) from outside to center.







5. Pry sealing base (6) on lower sealing frame (5) over stay (7) of rear window frame (3).
6. Tighten nuts on lower sealing frame (5).
7. Moisten sealing lip (8) on lower sealing frame (5) with liquid lubricant.
8. Press sealing lip (8) on lower sealing frame (5) with long wedge (9) below rear window (13).
Install lower sealing frame (5) from outside to center.

9. Clean lower sealing frame (5) and rear window (13).







Perform following operation steps at both ends on lower sealing frame (5).

10. Glue adhesive pad (11) onto crosshatched area (10) of lower sealing frame (5) as shown.
11. Apply adhesive (12) to adhesive pad (11) all the way around.
Use specified adhesive (12)
Do not close Vario roof before adhesive (12) has flashed off for at least 20 minutes. Otherwise, the adhesive pad (11) can loosen from the lower sealing frame (5) and leakage can occur.
