The vehicle has MB telematics services:
^ Roadside assistance call (telediagnosis, roadside assistance)
^ MB-Info call

Roadside assistance call (telediagnosis, roadside assistance)
The service telediagnosis services provides the user the opportunity to get in contact with a service center, such as in case of a vehicle malfunction. Using additional vehicle-specific data, the service center can now perform a remote diagnosis and initiate appropriate measures to provide assistance. When the MB-Info and breakdown assistance button group (S93/6) is pressed, an SMS is automatically sent to the service center.

The following data are automatically transmitted in a roadside assistance call:
^ Vehicle position
^ Customer identification data (telephone number)
^ Vehicle identification data
^ Status data
^ Fault code

The service center can request additional status data and fault codes from the emergency call system control unit (N123/4) by SMS. After the data have been evaluated, the service center places a call to the vehicle. The driver and the service center can then discuss the exact situation along with further steps to be taken.

Status reports
The status reports are displayed on the following components:
^ COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3)
^ Left multifunction display (A1p13) and right multifunction display (A1p15) in the instrument cluster (A1)
