The left door control unit (N69/1) is connected with the Control Area Network bus class B (interior compartment) (CAN-B) to exchange data and has the following purposes:

Reading in switches:
^ Remote opening trunk lid switch (S15)
^ Trunk lid open/close switch, driver (S15/3) (with code (881) Remote trunk closing (RTC))
^ Driver-side power window switch group (S20/1)
^ Left ESA switch group (S91/2)

Reading in sensors:
^ Left front IR receiver (A26/1)
^ Left front power window motor Hall sensor signals (M10/3)
^ Mirror up/down adjustment potentiometer (M21/1r2)
^ Mirror in/out adjustment potentiometer (M21/1r3)

Switching loads via internal semi-conductor switches:
^ Left outside mirror turn signal lamp (E6/5)
^ Entrance and exit lamp in left door (E17/3)
^ Left door interior handle illumination (E17/11)
^ Left front power window motor (M10/3)
^ Automatic mirror dimming (M21/1h1)
^ Mirror up/down adjustment motor (M21/1m1)
^ Mirror in/out adjustment motor (M21/1m2)
^ Mirror fold-in motor (M21/1m3)
^ Mirror heater (M21/1r1)
^ Status LED in trunk lid open/close switch, driver (S15/3)
^ Switch and controls illumination for all switches connected to left door control unit (N69/1)
