Component Identification:

Function requirements
^ C.15C, c.15R and c.15 OFF
^ no overvoltage/undervoltage
^ all doors closed (status: locked)
^ No other control module sends central opening message
^ Press "Unlock/lock button" on remote control key (A8/1) for longer than 1 s. and hold down

Convenience closing, function
Actuation of the "Lock vehicle"button on the remote control key (A8/1)actuates the corresponding function in the central locking system.If the button is pressed for longer than 1 s. remote the control key (A8/1) transmits the signal to the convenience closing via the infrared IR). The signal is received by the left front IR receiver links (A26/1) or right front IR receiver (A26/2).

If the function prerequisites are fulfilled the corresponding left door control module (N69/1) or right door control module (N69/2) transfers the command for convenience closing to the passenger compartment CAN bus.
The UVS control module (N52) receives the CAN message for "convenience closing" and then actuates the UVS hydraulic unit (A7/5) which closes the Vario roof.

When the Vario roof is closed the UVS control module (N52) actuates
the left rear power window motor (M10/5) and
the right rear power window motor (M10/6),
via the left door control module (N69/1)
the left front power window motor (M10/3)
and via the right door control module (N69/2)
the right front power window motor (M10/4).

If the Vario roof is already closed the power windows are immediately actuated for "convenience closing" by the corresponding control modules.

Convenience locking with keyless go transmitter card, function (A8/2) (independent whether Vario roof is open or closed)
The keyless go transmitter card (A8/2) must be located outside the vehicle and recognized.
If the left door push contact (S47s2) is pressed and held down, the power windows are actuated by the corresponding control modules and the windows are closed.

The convenience closing feature for the power windows is also performed when the windows are not synchronized

The pinch protection is not active during the window convenience closing operation.

Convenience opening feature only with remote control key (A8/1)
If the Vario roof is closed, it is actuated first. Simultaneously the rear windows are completely lowered. If the Vario roof is open, the windows on the passenger and driver side be lowered completely by pressing and holding down the "Unlock"button on the remote control key (A8/1).

In addition the seat control modules actuate the seat ventilation function in the driver's seat for 5 minutes.

Convenience opening of the side windows with the keyless go transmitter card (A8/2) is presently not possible.

The Vario roof only can be opened or closed by the convenience closing feature with the remote control key (A8/1).
