Campaign - Left Door Lock Replacement

SUBJECT:
MODEL 230, MODEL YEAR 2008

REPLACE LEFT DOOR LOCK

This Service Campaign has been initiated because Daimler AG has determined that an incorrect bushing was installed in the left door lock which can prevent the door from latching closed properly. Dealers will replace the left door lock on the affected vehicles during the next workshop visit.

Prior to performing this Service Campaign:

^ Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously repaired.

^ Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin and follow the procedure steps exactly as described.

Please note that Recall and Service Campaigns do not expire and may also be performed on a vehicle with a vehicle status indicator.

Approximately 4 vehicles are affected.

Procedure

Replace left door lock, refer to WIS: AR72.10-P-4011R.

Note (regarding above WIS instructions):
Be careful not to damage door foil (between door panel and door).

Repairs performed using any other part(s) will not have been performed in accordance with the campaign. Accordingly, warranty claims submitted with reference to an improper part number(s) will be denied.
