Headlamp Washer Pump: Service and Repair
AR82.35-P-6003T Remove/Install Headlamp Cleaning System Pump
- with CODE (600a) Headlamp cleaning system
Shown On Model 211.0:
1 Disconnect ground cable of battery
DANGER:
- Risk of death. Death may result if vehicle slips or topples from the lifting platform.
- Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
2 Lift vehicle on lifting platform.
3 Remove right front wheel
- Wheel bolt: 130 N.m
4 Remove rear fender liner in right front fender
5 Disconnect electrical connectors (1)
6 Detach electrical connector on rear-end door washer fluid pump
7 Disconnect the washer fluid hose from the HCS pump (M5/2)
NOTE:
- To do so press locking clamps together (arrow). Collect washer fluid which flows out.
- Installation:Replace sealing ring (3)
8 Unclip bracket (4) from washer fluid reservoir (5)
9 Use a mounting wedge to push off the HCS pump (M5/2) from the washer fluid reservoir (5)
NOTE: Note correct installation position.

NOTE: Installation:Install new gasket (6)
10 Install in the reverse order
11 Fill washer fluid reservoir (5)
12 Perform function check on headlamp cleaning system
NOTE: By pressing the HCS [SRA] switch check the function of the HCS pump (M5/2). A sufficient quantity of washer fluid must exit at the washer nozzles.
13 Perform function check on windshield washer system
NOTE: Switch on the ignition and press the combination switch to check the function of the windshield washer fluid pump. A sufficient quantity of washer fluid must exit at the washer nozzles.
14 Perform function check on rear washer system
NOTE: Press the rear wiper switch to check the function of the rear-end door washer fluid pump. A sufficient quantity of washer fluid must exit at the washer nozzles.
Special Tools
