GF26.60-P-4003-03A Hydraulic Pressure Reservoir - Function

GF26.60-P-4003-03A Hydraulic pressure reservoir, function
- TRANSMISSION 716.6
- with CODE (424) Sequentronic automated manual transmission (SEQ)

Component Identification:

Operation
The system pressure provided by the SEQ hydraulic pump (M46) is relayed to the pressure reservoir (5) via the hydraulic control unit. From there the hydraulic oil flows through the aluminum bracket (5a) into the hydraulic pressure chamber. The piston (5d) inside the accumulator unit is moved against the gas pressure, thus compressing the gas. The automated manual transmission pressure sensor (B56) is bolted onto the aluminum bracket (5a) and measures the instantaneous hydraulic pressure in the system. This pressure is relayed to the automated manual transmission control module (N15/6).

If the SEQ hydraulic pump (M46) is deactivated by the automated manual transmission control module (N15/6) while the system is simultaneously requesting a defined hydraulic pressure to execute a gearshift, the pressurized gas pushes the hydraulic oil into the system to the hydraulic control unit via the piston (5d). The piston (5d) is sealed off from the piston accumulator unit by means of piston rings (5b).
