Removal
^ The seal ring must be removed from the injector well.
^ The injector must not be disassembled.
^ Before cleaning the bore to the combustion chamber must be closed off.

Clean

Injector well
^ Use of machines is not permissible
^ Use of chip removing tool is not permissible.
^ Always clean injector first well with non-woven cloth.
^ Insert round wire brush carefully and cautiously.
^ Blow out cleaning residues with air.
^ Repeat cleaning procedure once more.
^ Injector well must be cleaned afterwards with non-woven cloth.
^ Remove fiber residues from non-woven cloth.
^ Cover/close off injector well after cleaning.

Injector
^ Use of chip removing tool is not permissible.
^ The injector area (A) can be cleaned with a brass wire brush.
^ Never clean nozzle tip using a brass wire brush.
^ Thoroughly clean injector again with non-woven cloth.
^ Remove fiber residues from non-woven cloth.
^ Piezo injectors must not be reused after use of an impact extractor and must be replaced.

Tool
^ Clean round wire brush thoroughly after use.
The brush length of the round wire brush is adjustable. The brush length should be 3 mm. The brush surface can be ground flat if necessary.

Installation
^ The injector area (B) must be greased.
^ Special grease must be spread over thinly and evenly.
^ Always replace seal ring between injector and combustion chamber.
^ The seal ring and its contact surfaces must be grease-free.
^ Always replace bolts attaching tensioning clamps.
^ It must be possible to screw in mounting screws slightly. Recut thread if necessary.
