GF54.30-P-2013TM Output Acoustic Warning Messages, Function

GF54.30-P-2013TM Output Acoustic Warning Messages, Function

The audible turn signal indicator (A1h2) is integrated in the instrument cluster (A1) and simulates a relay. The turn signal flasher is always accompanied by an acoustic clicking sound generated in the same rhythm. Depending on the function the audible turn signal indicator is actuated differently for the following functions:
^ Turn signaling (at double frequency if a turn signal lamp fails)
^ Hazard warning flashing
^ Flashing for anti-theft alarm system

Warning chime
The instrument cluster issues a gong chime with a frequency of approx 1.0 Hz with the seat belt reminder warning via the integrated speakers.

A distinction is made between 2 seat belt reminders:
^ Without seat belt reminder warning specified by law
^ With seat belt reminder warning specified by law

Without seat belt reminder warning specified by law
Function requirements:
^ Terminal 61 ON
^ v > 25 km/h
^ Driver or front passenger is not wearing a seat belt

The 1st phase of a total of 4 phases starts with different sequence characteristics.

1st phase
^ Single chime (gong) with t = 2 s.
^ The 1st phase runs for a maximum of 20 s and changes into the 2nd phase automatically.

2nd phase
^ Single chime (gong) with t = 1 s.
^ The 2nd phase runs for a maximum of 20 s and changes into the 3rd phase automatically.

3rd phase
^ Single chime (gong) with t = 0.4 s.
^ The 3rd phase runs for a maximum of 20 s and changes into the 4th phase automatically.

4th phase
^ Warning chime via the warning buzzer (A1h1) with t = 0.5 seconds.
^ The 4th phase runs for a maximum of 93 s.

The seat belt reminder warning is deactivated after the 4th phase has expired.
The seat belt reminder warning is reactivated under the following conditions:
^ The driver door or front passenger door is opened
^ Terminal 61 ON or terminal 15 ON detected again (on vehicles with code (498) Japan version)

With seat belt reminder warning specified by law
The vehicle runs through the first 3 phases as described above.
Here the seat belt reminder is deactivated automatically after the 3rd phase. The 4th phase is discontinued in this case.

Warning chime
The instrument cluster is equipped with a warning buzzer (A1h1) that responds to various malfunctions and operating conditions by generating an acoustic warning signal with a frequency of around 2,5 Hz and a duration of approx. 0.2 s.

A warning chime is emitted:
^ When a fault or warning message of medium or top priority occurs.
^ When the seat belt warning lamp (A1e9) lights up.
^ The brake fluid level and parking brake warning lamp (A1e7) light up if the vehicle starts to move before the parking brake is released.
^ When the standing lamps are on, the ignition key is withdrawn and the driver door is open (lights warning).
^ When the DTR warning lamp (A1e59) lights up. This lamp is triggered when the distance to the preceding vehicle falls below the defined safety margin.
^ When the transmitter key (A8/1) remains in the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73) after "circuit 5C" and the driver door is opened.
^ When vehicle speed exceeds 120 km/h (Gulf states only).
^ The acoustic warning signal is canceled as soon as the speed drops back below 117 km/h.
^ When the speed set on the variable speed limiter is exceeded, e.g. on downhill roads.

The displayed speed is used.
