Auxiliary Water Pump: Service and Repair

AR83.25-P-1170T Remove/Install/Replace Coolant Circulation Pump

Illustrated on model 211.070:

DANGER:
- Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.
- Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 degrees C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles.
- Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.

1 Allow pressure in coolant circuit to escape

NOTE: To do this, carefully open reservoir cover and close again.

2 Disconnect ground cable of battery
3 Unclamp heating water hoses (2) with clamps (3)
- See "Special Tools" given below.

4 Disconnect electrical connector (1).
5 Pull out hot water circulation pump (M13)
6 Detach heating water hoses (2) from hot water circulation pump (M13)
7 Remove rubber mount from hot water circulation pump (M13)
8 Install in the reverse order
9 Check and correct engine coolant level.
