Function
Two switching contacts are always activated simultaneously when the cruise control switch is operated. The actual input takes place by closing one of the switching contacts (storing the speed). The safety contact must close simultaneously so that the input is accepted. The switch signals are detected by the steering column module and transmitted to a Control Area Network (databus/CAN Bus) (CAN).
