Noises from Rear Seat lock (only vehicles with Pass-through seat - Option Code 287)





If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of noises coming from the rear seat backrest lock, this is caused by the striker in the lock rubbing on the spring in the lock cover. To remedy, replace only the rear seat backrest lock cover (which contains the integral spring) by following WIS document(s) AR68.30-P-4580TA or AR68.30-P-4580TC (to remove rear shelf and gain access). With rear shelf moved for access, carefully unclip lock cover and replace.
