AR77.20-P-0500T Remove/Install Paneling on Sliding/Pop-Up Roof

DANGER:
- Risk of injury to fingers being jammed or squeezed when removing and installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/tailgate or sliding roof.
- When moving components, ensure that nobody parts or limbs are within the operating range of moving parts.

1 Push paneling (1) toward rear
2 Open sliding/pop-up roof approx.20 cm
3 Unclip covering (2) in center and on side with assembly wedge (6), remove covering (2) from rubber bellows

See "Special Tools" given below.

NOTE: Installation: Position covering (2) in center and clip on.

4 Completely open sliding/pop-up roof
5 Slide lining (1) forward
6 Unhook front slide block (3) from slide rail (5)

NOTE: Press back front slide block (3) with suitable tool, toward vehicle center, into the mount and push paneling (1) to the opposite side for unhooking.

7 Lift paneling (1) out of slide rail (5)
8 Pull paneling (1) across the roof cutout slightly to the front until the rear slide blocks (4) are accessible

CAUTION: Handle paneling (1) carefully, otherwise the paneling (1) or the paintwork could be damaged.

9 Unhook rear slide block (4) from slide rail (5)

NOTE: Press back rear slide block (4) with suitable tool, toward vehicle center, into the mount and push paneling (1) to the opposite side for unhooking.

10 Lift paneling (1) out of slide rail (5) and take out of vehicle
11 Install in the reverse order
