GF88.79-P-2002T Fold In Left/right Outside Mirror, Function
- with CODE (500) Folding left/right outside mirrors
Component Identification:
Manual fold-in/out function
Function requirements
^ Circuit 15 On
^ No overvoltage or undervoltage
^ v < 47 km/h (mirror housing folded in)
^ No mirror lens adjustment active
When the fold-in/out outside mirror switch (S50/1s3) is actuated, the outside mirror is moved to the garage position (mirror folded in) or driving position (mirror folded out). The mirror fold-in motors are actuated by the left front door control unit (N69/1) and right front door control unit (N69/2).
Automatic mirror housing adjustment via v signal
The automatic mirror housing adjustment is intended to prevent the mirror from vibrating when folded out while driving.
For this purpose, the mirror fold-out motors are actuated once for 1 s in the driving direction at a speed of v > 47 km/h. This ensures that the mirror housing arrests.
Automatic fold-in/out function (only on model 211.2) up to 30.5.05 except code (498) Japanese version
Function requirements
^ Circuit 15 c Off
^ No overvoltage or undervoltage
^ Function in instrument cluster (A1) activated
When the vehicle is locked with the central locking function, both mirror housings are folded in. The next time the vehicle is unlocked with the central locking and the driver or passenger door are opened, the mirror housings are returned to the previous position.
The status of the central locking (locked, unlocked) is transmitted to the CAN, class B bus by the EIS control unit (N73).
