AR35.10-P-0040-02T Remove/install front rubber mount in rear axle mount

Removing

Component Identification:





Always replace front rubber mounts in pairs.

1 Remove washer (1) from rubber mount (2).
2 Insert thrust pieces (01a) in the gap between the rubber mount (2) and rear axle carrier (3)
3 Fit bracket (01b) onto rear axle carrier (3).
4 Slide sleeve (01c) over thrust pieces (01a) and insert thrust piece (01d) into the sleeve (01c).
5 Press rubber mount (2) out of rear axle carrier (3) by turning in the spindle (01e).

Install

Component Identification:





6 Clean mounting bore in the rear axle carrier (3).
7 Coat a thin layer of rubber assembly fluid on the new rubber mount (2) and in the mounting hole in the rear axle carrier (3).
8 Insert rubber mount (2) in the mounting bore in the rear axle carrier (3).

The cutout (2a) must point towards the vehicle rear.

9 Place thrust piece (01f) on rubber mount (2).

Component Identification:





10 Insert thrust piece (01g) in the rear axle carrier (3).
11 Press rubber mount (2) into rear axle carrier (3) by turning in the spindle (01e).

Hold the thrust piece (01f) when screwing in the spindle (01e) in order to prevent the rubber mount (2) from twisting.

The thrust pieces (01f, 01g) and spindle 01e) must remain on the rear axle carrier (3) for a further 2 minutes after drawing in so that the rubber mount (2) can settle.

12 Unscrew the spindle (01e) and remove thrust pieces (01f, 01g).
13 Attach washer (1) to rubber mount (2).
