Cannot Change Radio Stations, CD or DVD Tracks with the Multi-function Steering Wheel Controls

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that intermittently the radio stations or CD/DVD tracks cannot be changed using the Multi-Function Steering Wheel Controls (MFS), or the MFS keys must be pressed a few times to respond, this may be due to a software error in the instrument cluster. To remedy, update the instrument cluster software using DAS 02/08 or newer by following the steps below.

1) Connect a battery charger, turn engine and all electrical consumers OFF

2) Start DAS --> Information and Communication --> IC- Instrument Cluster (Central CAN Bus) --> Control unit programming.... --> follow the DAS prompts to update the software on the instrument cluster

3) If part(s) replacement is necessary, the control unit log printout must be returned with the part(s).
