Reason for block

Complaint:

After a software update or after replacement of the instrument cluster (A1), a single beep tone may be heard from the instrument cluster (A1) when the vehicle is unlocked and when the ignition is switched on.

Cause:

Communication error in new instrument cluster (A1) software.

Remedy:

As of DAS/Xentry Diagnostics 01/2010 the correct software is installed during initial startup of the instrument cluster (A1).

Do not remove/install/replace any parts.
