Reason for change

Complaint:

The central display of the COMAND control unit (A40/3) shows the message "Metadata loss - Please reimport all media data".

When the displayed message is acknowledged, the music data from all connected media (CD/DVD, USB, SD, Music Register) must be reimported. This happens the next time the "Music Search" function is used.





Attachment

Cause:

The database provided by the Music Search function in COMAND control unit (A40/3) may contain errors.

Remedy:

Update the COMAND software to software release 12/13.00.

Available as of telematics CD 05/2012.

Note:
Do not replace the COMAND control unit (A40/3).
