Modification of Replacement Drip Rails

In the event drip rail replacement is necessary on vehicles listed in the above VIN range; the replacement drip rails require modification before installation on the vehicle. This modification is required in order to properly position the drips rail when fastening them to the A-pillar.

Procedure

1. Place replacement drip rail on suitable workbench.





2. Enlarge replacement drip rail mounting slots (a, Figure 1):

Remove 5 to 6 mm (b, Figure 1) of plastic material on both sides of mounting slots using a rotary tool (e.g., Dremel(R)) attached with a 3 mm tool bit.
