Complaint:

In the event of complaints (vehicles prior to YoM 09/01), a new reversible emergency tensioning retractor cannot be installed.

Cause:

As of modification year 09/01 the connector housing of the reversible emergency tensioning retractor was revised and is incompatible with the vehicle wiring harness as a result.

Attachments

Remedy:

Cut vehicle wiring harness to reversible emergency tensioning retractor at a suitable point and attach repair wiring harness (A212 440 54 32) to it using solder connectors.

Attach/plug new connector onto emergency tensioning retractor.
