Complaint:

When the XENTRY diagnostic system is used, the adaptation values displayed for the transmission control unit may appear to be implausible. They are no longer within the Min/Max limits.

Irregularities may also occur when an adaptation test drive has been performed. The adaptation values of the unadapted shifts may be changed or reset to zero. This degrades the shift behavior of the transmission.

Cause:

The problem is a parameterization error in XENTRY Diagnostics. The electrohydraulic controller unit (EHS) is nevertheless OK and must not be replaced.

Remedy:

An add-on for XENTRY is currently being prepared for DVD 05/09 and DVD 06/09. The error is finally rectified with DVD 07/09.

Replacement of the EHS on the grounds of this complaint is not permissible.
