GF40.15-P-5124CW Tire Pressure Monitor Control Unit, Component Description
GF40.15-P-5124CW Tire pressure monitor control unit, component description
- with CODE (470) Tire pressure monitor (base)
Component Identification:
Location
The tire pressure monitor control unit is located at the left in the trunk.
Task
The following functions are realized by the tire pressure monitor control unit:
^ Tire pressure temperature compensation
^ Display of a soft warning for slight pressure loss
^ Display of a hard warning for significant pressure loss
^ Warning in event of rapid pressure loss
^ Automatic fill detection
^ Status monitoring
The tire pressure monitor control unit receives data packages by radio from the following sensors:
^ Left front tire pressure sensor (A6911)
^ Right front tire pressure sensor (A69/2)
^ Left rear tire pressure sensor (A69/3)
^ Right rear tire pressure sensor (A69/4)
The data packages contain the pressure, tire temperature, individual serial number and status information (manufacturer, direction of rotation, operating mode etc.).
If a pressure loss is detected based on this data, an appropriate warning message is shown in the multifunction display (A1p13) of the instrument cluster (A1).
In addition to the warning messages the tire pressure monitor warning lamp (A1e66) is also actuated.
The tire pressure monitor control unit continuously monitors all the inputs and outputs for faults. Detected faults that are relevant to function are entered into the fault memory.
Where applicable, status messages are shown in the multifunction display.
Discrete inputs
^ Circuit 30
^ Circuit 31
CAN signals
The tire pressure monitor control unit is connected for exchanging data with the interior CAN.
