Removal and Replacement

AR82.85-P-7373T Remove/Install Navigation Processor
- with CODE (527) COMAND APS (with navigation)







1 Transfer basic data from the navigation processor (N41/1) to STAR DIAGNOSIS
- Only when replacing the navigation processor (N41/1)

NOTE: Installation: Transfer the basic data from STAR DIAGNOSIS to the new navigation processor (N41/1)

2 Disconnect ground cable of battery
3 Remove left side inner paneling of load compartment
4 Plug removal tools (1) into the navigation processor (N41/1)
5 Pull out the navigation processor (N41/1) at the removal tools (1) until the coupling of the fiber optical cable (2) and electrical connectors (3) are accessible
6 Disconnect coupling of fiber optical cable (2) and electrical connectors (3) at the navigation processor (N41/1)

CAUTION: Do not kink or stretch fiber optical cable, risk of causing damage

7 Cover the coupling of the fiber optical cable (2)
8 Remove navigation processor (N41/1) from the load compartment

NOTE: Installation: Press the retaining springs (4) back on both sides of the navigation processor (N41/1) and pull out the removal tools (1)

9 Install in the reverse order
