AN82.85-P-0001-01TTB Retrofitting Navigation Processor In Trunk

1 Remove nuts (1) and bolts (3) from bracket (6) for hazard warning triangle.
Nuts (1) and bolts (3) are still required.
On vehicles with code 550, Trailer hitch, the trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit must be removed from the bracket (6) without disconnecting the electrical connectors.

2 Remove bracket (6) for hazard warning triangle.
Bracket is no longer (6) required.






3 Remove nut (1) from bracket of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
4 Place bracket (2) on stud and attach with nut (1) from bracket of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
On vehicles with code 550, trailer hitch, the trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit must be installed in bracket (2).

5 Install new bracket (7) for hazard warning triangle as per picture and attach with nuts (1) and bolts (3).






6 Push navigation processor (N41/1) into control unit bracket (4) until the catches can be heard to engage (see arrow and detail).






7 Fit control unit bracket (4) with navigation processor (N41/1) on guides (see arrows) of bracket for rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).






8 Connect the navigation processor coupling (12), MOST coupling (8) and GPS navigation processor coupling (9) to the navigation processor (N41/1).
The connectors are coded to prevent misconnection.

9 Push control unit bracket (4) with navigation processor (N41/1) into guide for bracket (2) as far as the stop.
10 Fasten control unit bracket (4) onto bracket (2) using bolt (5).
