AR35.30-P-0661P Remove/Install C.V. Joint or Rubber Boot on Rear Halfshaft







1 Remove rear axle shaft (37a)
2 Remove hose clamps (37k)

NOTE: Installation: Replace hose damps (37k), observing the hose clamp width

3 Remove boot cap (37i) from joint ring (37b, 37c)

NOTE: Installation: Do not oil or grease the O-ring.

4 Dismantle constant-velocity joint

NOTE: Refer to Dismantling constant-velocity joint, inspecting for wear, assembly

5 Press joint hub (37d) off the rear axle shaft (37a)

NOTE: Refer to Press joint hub (37d) off the rear axle shaft (37a), press on and caulk

6 Remove rubber boot (37I) from opposite constant velocity joint
- Only if necessary

NOTE: The boot (371) can be removed over the rear axle shaft (37a)

7 Check constant-velocity joint for wear

NOTE:
- Refer to Dismantling constant-velocity joint inspecting for wear, assembly
- If the outer constant velocity joint is defective, the rear axle shaft (37a) must be replaced

8 Install in the reverse order
