Maintenance Interval Coded to 24 Months in Instrument Cluster
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles where the maintenance interval was mistakenly set to 24 months in the instrument cluster, check the setting with the Star Diagnosis System (SDS) and if necessary recode the maintenance interval.
Note:
VIN and current values in this document were created using DAS simulation.
1. Enter the Instrumental Cluster (KIVV) with DAS (Figure 1).
2. K12 is not available the SLR, press F4 to continue (Figure 2).
3. Select the Control unit adaptations menu and confirm with F3 (Figure 3).
4. Select the corresponding entry and confirm selection with F3 (Figure 4).
5. Select the ASSYST settings menu and confirm with F3 (Figure 5).
6. If the menu Maintenance interval in days displays 730 days, highlight and double clic on the incorrect value. By doing so the automatic correction function will initiate and the value will be replaced by 365 (Figure 6).
