Suspension Control Module: Service and Repair



AR32.22-P-6000T Remove/Install Air Suspension Control Module
- with CODE (489) AIRmatic (semi-active air suspension)

DANGER:
- Risk of explosion from hydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury to eyes and skin suffering caustic burns from battery electrolyte or from contact with damaged lead acid batteries.
- No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
- Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.


1 Disconnect ground cable of battery

2 Fold back front passenger's footmat and remove impact absorber (1)
3 Unscrew plastic nuts (2) and fold control module rack towards the rear
4 Unscrew bolts (3) and remove AIRmatic with ADS control module (N51) from control module carrier
5 Push locking slide on the two couplings (4) on the AIRmatic with ADS control module (N51) as far as the stop in the direction of the arrow and remove connections.
6 Disconnect connector of data bus system (2) from AIRmatic with ADS control module (N51)
7 Install in the reverse order

NOTE: When replacing the AIRmatic with ADS control module (N51) the new control module is to be calibrated using STAR DIAGNOSIS.
