Rubber mount on spring control arm with thrust plates

- except CODE (979) Special protection version [models 211/230]

Component Identification:





Model 215 and model 220 with thrust plates, model 230

1 Pull thrust plate (1) off rubber mount (17d) using puller (2).

Installation: Ensure that the thrust plate (1) and bush of rubber mount (17d) form a level surface or are flush after pressing on the thrust plate (1)(arrow).

Model 215, 220: In the case of repair the rubber mount (17d) (without thrust plates (1)) is replaced by a rubber mount (17d) (with thrust plates (1)).

Component Identification:





Model 211, 215, 220, 230

2 Mark position of rubber bushing (17d) relative to track control arm (17).

To press out rubber bushing

Component Identification:





3 Press out rubber mount (17d) using press out/in tool (011, 012).

Push in rubber mount

Component Identification:





4 Transfer alignment mark to new rubber bushing (17d).
5 Position chamfer of rubber mount (17d) on chamfer (arrow) of spring control arm (17).

The rubber bushing slot (17d) must align with the linear axis of the track control arm (17).

6 Use press out/in tool (011, 012) to press in the rubber mount (17d) until the collar of the press out/press in tool (011) abuts the spring control arm (17).

When pressing in make sure that the rubber mount (17d) does not twist or turn.
