AR46.30-P-0010P Filling and Bleeding Power Steering Pump

1 Remove left air intake hose
2 Filling (30a) power-steering pump

NOTE: Fill up to approx. 10 mm below top edge.

3 Start engine

NOTE: The steering system bleeds itself automatically.

4 Turn the steering wheel from stop to stop several times when the engine is running, refill with MB steering gear oil if necessary

CAUTION: The power steering pump must not draw in air under any circumstances as the pump is destroyed by a lack of lubrication.

5 Power steering - check and correct oil level
6 Check steering system for leaks
- If there are leaks, find cause and correct.
7 Mount left air intake hose
