Climate System Switches On After Having Been Switched Off

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the climate system switching on after having been switched off during the previous key cycle, the version coding in the climate system control module may be incorrect. Follow the procedure below to change the version coding.

Note:
The ignition must have remained off with the key removed fora minimum of 5 minutes for the climate system to switch back on.

1. Using STAR Diagnosis version 09/06 or later, change version coding by following path: Control units --> Air conditioning --> C-AAC/AAC --> Control unit adaptations --> Read coding and change if necessary --> Workshop codings --> Vehicle selection --> Set to 'Up to model refinement 2006'

2. Confirm correct operation of climate system 'Off' function.

3. Turn climate system Off'.

4. Turn ignition off and remove key from ignition. For vehicles Keyless Go, remove key from proximity of vehicle.

5. Wait approximately 5 minutes, turn ignition on and confirm the climate system stayed off.

Note:
Replacing the AC control module does not remedy the condition.
