UPDATE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE SOFTWARE AND SCN CODING

This Service Campaign has been initiated because DAG has determined that under certain circumstances the oxygen sensor may clog with carbon particulates. This condition may be due to a number of factors including unusual driving patterns, high humidity, and variations in diesel fuel including the use of bio-diesel. To correct this condition, the dealer will update the engine control module software and SCN coding at the next workshop visit.

Prior to performing this Service Campaign:

^ Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously repaired.

^ Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as described.

Approximately 6407 vehicles are affected.
