B28/5 Pressure sensor downstream of air filter

Location
The pressure sensor downstream of the air filter is integrated in the left of the air filter housing.

Task
The pressure sensor downstream of the air filter detects the absolute pressure (vacuum) in the intake duct and transmits the signal to the CDI control unit (N3/9).

Function
The air pressure in the air filter distorts a membrane with piezo elements. The voltage created is used by the CDI control unit (N3/9) to determine the charge air pressure in the intake tract.
