GF07.16-P-3006P CDI Limiting Full Load Injected Quantity, Function
The full-load injection quantity limit serves to minimize smoke formation at full load and at constant speed. To do this, the CDI control unit (N3/9) reads in information form the following components:
- Oil temperature sensor (B1) (except model 461)
- Oil sensor (oil level, temperature and quality) (B40) (model 461)
- Charge pressure sensor (B5/1)
- Coolant temperature sensor (B11/4)
- Charge air temperature sensor (B17/8)
- Pressure sensor downstream of air filter (B28/5) (except model 463)
- Pressure sensor downstream of air filter, right cylinder bank (B28/5) (model 463)
- Exhaust back pressure sensor (B60)
- Crankshaft Hall sensor (B70)
After evaluation of input signals, the CDI control unit, via the quantity control valve (Y94) and the pressure regulator valve (Y74), regulates the fuel pressure in the rail and controls injection timing via the actuation of the fuel injectors (Y76).
The fuel pressure in the rail and the injection timing of the fuel injectors produces the injection quantity.
In the event of a fault in the "boost pressure control" function, the full load injection quantity is reduced.
