AR83.50-P-6900T Remove/Install Intake Side Refrigerant Line In Engine Compartment
Illustrated on Model Series 211.070:
DANGER:
- Risk of explosion from welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning. Inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors may be toxic. Risk of injury. Contact with liquid refrigerant may result in injury to the skin and eyes.
- Do not carry out any welding work on the closed air conditioning system or in the surrounding area. No smoking or open flames. Wear eye protection and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been discharged.
CAUTION: Protect air conditioning circuit and components from moisture when carrying out repair work.
1 Drain air conditioning (recycle)
NOTE: Note quantity of extracted compressor oil.
CAUTION: Installation: Incorrectly filled compressor oil quantity may result in damage to the refrigerant compressor.
NOTE: Installation: Evacuate and fill air conditioning system and add new compressor oil to refrigerant circuit, using noted quantity of compressor oil. Check air conditioning system for leakage.
DANGER:
- Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.
- Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 degrees C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles.
- Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.
2 Allow pressure in coolant circuit to escape
NOTE: To do this, carefully open reservoir cover.
3 Detach coolant expansion tank and set aside.
4 Use a release tool to disconnect the quick-action lock (2)

5 Unscrew screw (3) and pull vacuum line (1) from refrigerant compressor (A9
CAUTION: Seal line openings, otherwise dirt and moisture may penetrate.

NOTE: Installation: Install new sealing ring and moisten thread with compressor oil.
- Intake line to refrigerant compressor: 22 N.m.
6 Remove intake line (1)
- Additional oil filling quantity on replacement of intake line: 30 cu.cm
7 Replace receiver/drier
8 Install in the reverse order.
