GF54.30-P-2012TM Display Monitoring/Warning Messages Via Multifunction Display, Function

GF54.30-P-2012TM Display Monitoring/warning Messages Via Multifunction Display, Function

In the event of malfunctions warning messages are displayed in the multifunction display (A1p13). These warning messages are divided up into 3 categories and stored in 3 fault rolls (U-, W and N-roll).

Category 1
Warning messages with the highest priority.
These warning messages cannot be acknowledged. When they occur a short warning chime is issued via the warning buzzer (A1h1) and the fault is displayed in the upper multifunction display. Any category 2 and 3 warning messages are cross-faded.

Category 2
Warning messages with medium priority.
These warning messages can be acknowledged with the instrument illumination brightness control and reset button (A1r1). When they occur a short warning chime is issued via the warning buzzer and the fault is displayed in the multifunction display. Any category 3 warning messages are cross-faded.

Category 3
Warning message with the lowest priority.
These warning messages can be acknowledged with the instrument illumination brightness control and reset button. There is no warning chime.

U roll
This is the list of all unacknowledged warning messages displayed in the multifunction display. Displays of the same of a higher priority are displayed once the minimum display time of the preceding message has elapsed. When the minimum display time for the warning with the lowest secondary priority has elapsed, the fault roll begins again with the warnings with the highest main priority (ring memory).

W roll
This is where all the acknowledged errors that occurred while driving are entered. It can be called up at any time in the menu tree in the multifunction display. After calling up the roll first of all a start screen with the number of faults occurring is displayed, then the faults are displayed in the sequence of their main priority.

N roll
After disconnecting terminal 15R, all messages entered in the error roll are automatically called up in the N roll in secondary priority sequence. The number of errors entered in shown in the start screen. The warning buzzer sounds briefly when the start screen is displayed. The displayed messages must be acknowledged. The N roll stops when all the warnings have been acknowledged. If there are no messages recorded, or if all the recorded messages have been acknowledged, the multifunction display is switched off after 30 s. If there are still unacknowledged messages present, the shutoff occurs after 2 minutes. If the N-roll is interrupted by a higher-priority message, it begins again from the start screen.

Some messages (including dynamic curve illumination) are accompanied by the lighting of a warning or indicator lamp. These lamps remain lit until the fault is rectified. This applies even if the corresponding message was acknowledged.

Acknowledging messages
Warning and fault messages can be acknowledged automatically or manually. If the cause of an automatically acknowledgeable message ceases to be applicable, the warning is displayed for the duration of its minimum display time in the multifunction display. In the case of faults which also necessitate the actuation of an indicator lamp, the lamp lights up at the same time as the multifunction display. The lamp remains on as long as the fault persists, regardless of whether the fault display on the multifunction display has already been acknowledged.

Reminder of acknowledged messages
If messages have been acknowledged while driving, these are displayed again as a reminder when "circuit 15R is ON". Current messages hide this reminder function. If there are no messages, the standard display appears after "Circuit 15R ON".

Display stored error messages
When the instrument cluster is activated, the stored messages can be displayed in the menu "Fault and warning messages".
