GF83.40-P-2170-03TT Convenience Automatic Air Conditioning Box Function

GF83.40-P-2170-03TT Convenience Automatic Air Conditioning Box Function
- with CODE (581b) Convenience automatic air conditioning

Component Identification:

Heater operation front and rear with activated charcoal filter

Function
In heating mode fresh air (A) is drawn in by the blower motor (A32m1) due to the position of the fresh air/ recirculated air flap actuator motor (M2/5)The air cleaned by the dust filter (1) is led through the two activated charcoal filters (2) due to the position of the activated charcoal filter flap adjustment motor (A32m2) and reaches the cooled evaporator (3), is dried and cooled there. Then the dried and cooled air (B) is heated up again due to the position of the left blending air flap actuator motor (M2/6) and right blending air flap actuator motor (M2/7) in the heated heater heat exchanger (4) and heater booster (R22/3).

The heated air (C) is led to the air outlets (7, 8, 9, 10, 12) due to the position of the actuator motors (M2/6, M2/7, M2/8, M2/9, M2/10, M2/11, M16/30 and M16/31) .
Additionally, directly after the evaporator (3), cooled air (B) is diverted, which is then mixed to the heated air (C) via the positions of the actuator motors (M2/12, M2/13, M16/30 and M16/31). As a result blend air (D) escapes from the front center nozzle air outlet (11) and rear center nozzle air outlet (6) The condensation is passed to atmosphere through the condensation drain.

Cooling operation front and rear with activated charcoal filter

Function
In cooling mode, fresh air (A) is drawn in by the blower motor (A32m1) due to the position of the fresh air/recirculated air flap actuator motor (M2/5). The air cleaned by the dust filter (1) is led through the two activated charcoal filters due to the position of the activated charcoal filter adjustment motor (A32m2) and reaches the cooled evaporator (3), and is dried and cooled there. Due to the position of the left blend air flap actuator motor (M2/6) and the right blend air flap actuator motor (M2/7), the dried and cooled air (B) is led past the heated heat exchanger (4) and the heater booster (R22/3).

The positions of the actuator motors (M2/10, M2/11, M2/12 and M2/13, M16/30 and M16/31) is used to route the cooled air (B) to the air outlets (6, 7, 10,11).
In cool mode the footwell flaps and thus the air outlets (8, 9) are closed via the left (M2/10) and right (M2/11)footwell flap actuator motors.
The defroster vent flaps can be opened by the left (M2/8) and right (M2/9) defroster vent flap actuator motors if the outside air is dry. The condensation water is led to the outside condensation water drain.

Mixed-air operation front and rear heater operation with activated charcoal filter

Function
In fresh air mode at the front and heating mode at the rear fresh air (A) is drawn in by the blower motor (A32m1) due to the position of the fresh air flaps and recirculated air flaps actuator motor (M2/5). The cleaned air drawn in through the dust filter (1) is led through the two activated charcoal filters (2) due to the position of the activated charcoal filter flap adjustment motor (A32m2) and reaches the cooled evaporator (3), is dried and cooled there. With blend air mode in the front, then part of the dried and cooled air (B) is heated up again - due to the position of the left (M2/6) and right (M2/7) blend air flap actuator motor - in the heated heat exchanger (4) and the heater booster (R22/3). The other part of the dried and cooled air (B) is led past the heated heat exchanger (4) and the heater booster (R22/3) and mixed downstream of the heater heat exchanger (4) and heater booster (R22/3) with heated air (C) to form blend air (D).

The mixed air (D) is routed through the positions of the actuator motors (M2/10, M2/11, M2/12 and M2/13) to the air outlets (9, 10, 11). In addition the heated air (C) is led to the air outlets (7, 8) due to the position of the left footwell flap actuator motor (M2/10) and the right footwell flap actuator motor (M2/11).
The defroster nozzle flaps can be opened when the outside air is dry by the left defroster vent flap actuator motor (M2/8) and the right defroster flap actuator motor (M2/9).
With heat mode in the rear, directly downstream of the evaporator (3) cooled air (B) is diverted which is mixed with the heated air (C) via the position of the left rear blend air flap actuator motor (M16/30) and the right rear blend air flap actuator motor (M16/31). As a result blend air (D) escapes from the rear center nozzle air outlet (6) The condensation is passed to atmosphere through the condensation drain.

Heater operation front and mixed air operation rear; recirculated air mode without activated charcoal filter

Function
In "heating mode at the front and blend air mode at the rear; recirculated air mode without activated charcoal filter" recirculated air (A) is drawn in by the blower motor (A32m1) due to the position of the actuator motor for fresh air flaps and recirculated air flaps (M2/5). There circulated air (A) is led past the two activated charcoal filters (2) due to the position of the activated charcoal filter flap adjustment motor (A32m2) and reaches the cooled evaporator (3), is dried and cooled there. Then the dried and cooled air (B) is heated up again due to the position of the left blending air flap actuator motor (M2/6) and right blending air flap actuator motor (M2/7) in the heated heater heat exchanger (4) and heater booster (R22/3). Part of the heated air (C) is led to the air outlets (9, 10, 12) due to the position of the actuator motors (M2/6, M2/7, M2/8, M2/9, M2/10, M2/11).

In addition directly downstream of the evaporator (3) cooled air (B) is diverted which is mixed with the heated air (C) via the position of the left center air outlet flap actuator motor (M2/12) and the right center air outlet flap actuator motor (M2/13). As a result blend air (D) escapes from the front center nozzle air outlet (11). Due to the position of the left rear blend air flap actuator motor (M16/30) and the right rear blend air flap actuator motor (M16/31) the other part of the heated air (C) is mixed with the dried and cooled air (B) which is led past the heat exchanger (4) and heater booster (R22/3). This mixed air (D) is routed through the positions of the actuator motors (M2/10, M2/11, M16/30 and M16/31) to the air outlets (6, 7, 8) . The condensation is passed to atmosphere through the condensation drain.
