Removal and Replacement

AR83.30-P-5540T Remove/Install Evaporator







1 Remove heat exchanger
2 Unscrew screw (3)
3 Detach clamps (2) and remove evaporator housing cover (4)
4 Undo screws from expansion valve (5) and remove expansion valve

NOTE: Installation: Install new sealing rings and moisten thread with compressor oil.

- Bolt on expansion valve: 8 N.m

5 Remove retaining plate (7) and seal boot (6).

NOTE: Installation: Note installation position of retaining plate (7) and seal boot (6).

6 Remove the evaporator (1).

NOTE: Installation: If evaporator (1) has been replaced, add additional compressor oil quantity when filling air conditioning system.

- Additional oil filling capacity when replacing evaporator: 40 cu.cm
For Refrigerant compressor 7SEU16C.

7 Install in the reverse order.
