AR03.10-P-6111-06TI Install, Measure Conrod Bearings











1 Clean the bearing points of conrod, conrod bearing caps and conrod bearing journals with a chamois leather.
Never use hard objects for cleaning to prevent damage.
Blow through oil galleries in direction of flow oil with compressed air.
2 Install the conrod bearing cap with conrod bearing shells.
3 Lubricate thread and bolt head contact surface of conrod bolts with engine oil.





4 Screw in the connecting rod bolts and tighten according to the tightening instructions.
The conrods are cracked (broken). The dimensional accuracy of the conrods can no longer be guaranteed, therefore new conrods must be fitted following removal.
Otherwise engine damage can occur. The conrods are supplied with assembly screws, which must be replaced by conrods with assembly clamps to prevent loosening.
