REPLACE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR CAP AND COVERING
This Service Campaign has been initiated because DAG has determined that the cap for the brake fluid reservoir indicates DOT4 brake fluid, not DOT4+. The dealer will replace the brake fluid reservoir cap and covering during the next workshop visit.
Prior to performing this Service Campaign:
^ Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously repaired.
^ Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as described.
Please note that Recall and Service Campaigns do not expire and may also be performed on a vehicle with a vehicle status indicator.
Approximately 35,136 vehicles are affected.
Procedure
1. Loosen fasteners (arrows, Figure 1) then remove covering (A) over brake fluid reservoir.
2. Remove fasteners (arrows, Figure 1) from old covering (A) and insert into mounting holes in new covering.
Note:
Be careful not to break fasteners.
3. Replace brake fluid reservoir cap (arrow, Figure 2).
4. Install new covering (A, Figure 1) over brake fluid reservoir and secure with fasteners (arrows, Figure 1).
