Remove/Install Left Or Right Rear Axle Rpm Sensor

Shown On Model 211.0:

DANGER:
- Risk of death. Death may result if vehicle slips or topples from the lifting platform.
- Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

1 Remove rear wheel
2 Remove wheel house paneling (1)
3 Unplug rpm sensor connector (signals) (X625)

NOTE: By levering off spring catch (2) using a screwdriver.

4 Expose electric feed line of rear left or right rpm sensor (L6/3, L6/4)

NOTE:
- To do this, open shackle (3) of cable duct and unclip electric feed line from retaining clips.
- Installation: Observe routing of lines.

5 Unscrew bolt (6a)

NOTE: Installation: Install new bolt.

6 Pull rear left or right rpm sensor (L6/3, L6/4) out of wheel carrier (7)
7 Install in the reverse order
8 Read out fault memory with STAR DIAGNOSIS and erase if necessary

NOTE: Stored faults must be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work. The stored faults can be caused by defective components, assembly as well as lines disconnected during test work and by simulation.
