Lint Threads from Cushion Leather

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of complaints concerning long, light colored threads primarily seen in the rear bench seat that can also occur in a lesser degree in the front seats, this may be caused by a change in the material for the inlays in the rear seat covers or a change in the diameter of the perforations in the imitation leather cover material which leads to loose threads. To resolve, perform the repair below for either front or rear seats.

Front Seats - For vehicles produced prior to February 31, 2007 (VIN Break B139902), the covers of the front seats must be replaced. Vehicles after this VIN break already have revised seat covers installed.

Rear Seats - For vehicles produced prior to October 18, 2006 (VIN Break B081229), the covers in the rear should also be replaced. Vehicles after this VIN break already have been revised seat covers installed.
