AR77.20-P-1700T Remove/Install Pop-Up Bracket on Sliding/Pop-Up Roof
- with CODE (414) Glass electric tilting/sliding roof

1 Remove sliding/pop-up roof panel
2 Remove water drain channel (1) with long wedge (2)

See "Special Tools" given below.

3 Actuate sliding/pop-up roof switch in direction "close" until the sliding/pop-up roof drive switches off

NOTE: As a result the sliding/pop-up roof mechanism is moved from the "pop-up position" into the position "sliding/pop-up roof closed".

4 Actuate sliding/pop-up roof switch briefly in direction "open" until the slide block on the rear bracket (7) is located in the slide rail (8) or the guide bolt (6) of the bracket (5) in the wind deflector guide (9) moves to the rear

NOTE: As a result the sliding/pop-up roof mechanism is moved from the position"sliding/pop-up roof closed" in direction of "sliding/pop-up roof open".

5 Unscrew bolt (10) on both sides from control cable on pop-up bracket (4)
6 Push pop-up bracket (4) on both sides to rear

NOTE: Until the slide block on the front bracket (11) can be lifted out of the slide rail (8).

7 Push pop-up bracket (4) and at the same time bracket (5) toward front

NOTE: Guide bracket (5) over the slide rail (8) until the slide block on the rear bracket (7) is visible in the opening on the slide rail (8). At the same time lead guide bolt (6) of bracket (5) past wind deflector guide (9).

8 Remove bracket (5) from pop-up bracket (4)

CAUTION: Swing up bracket (5) carefully, otherwise the guide bolt (6) could damage the paintwork.

NOTE: Swing bracket (5) upward and remove slide block on rear bracket (7) through the opening on the slide rail (8).

9 Remove pop-up bracket (4)

NOTE: Swing out pop-up bracket (4) parallel to slide rail (8) (arrow).

10 Install in the reverse order
