GF82.95-P-2002T Status Indicator, Location/function
- with CODE (383) With telephone "Standard" in console on right side of dome with integrated TELEAID emergency call system, hands-free system and antenna
- with CODE (930) Taxi emergency call
- with CODE (934) Taxi emergency alarm unit
The purpose of the state display in the SOS switch (S93/3s1) is to check the function of the TELE AID system.
Every time the TELE AID system is switched on the state display comes on for approx. 4 s and signals the readiness for TELE AID for an emergency call. Then the status indicator goes out.
If a TELE AID emergency call is activated, the state display begins flashing (0.5 s ON, 0.5 s OFF) and a message appears in the multifunction display (A1p13) of the instrument cluster (A1).
If it was not possible to transmit a TELE AID emergency call and no 112 emergency call, the state display comes on and a message appears in the multifunction display (A1p13) of the instrument cluster (A1).
If a voice connection was established, the state display has the same status as before the emergency call was activated and a message appears in the multifunction display (A1p13) of the instrument cluster (A1).
If the TELE AID system is in the diagnosis mode the state display also starts flashing.
A TELE AID system error is present when the state display does not go out 5 s after switching on or when it comes on at a later time. As a result, a message appears in the multifunction display (A1p13) of the instrument cluster (A1).
Causes for permanent illumination of the state display are:
External error
^ Power supply too low
^ No or incorrect SIM card installed
^ Communication with restraint system control unit (N2/7) interrupted
^ Error in communication with ESP, SPS and BAS control unit (N47-5)
^ Error at SOS switch (S93/3s1)
^ With code (930) taxi emergency call error at the emergency alarm system (S62/6) activate button
^ Error at the GPS antenna system
^ Reception via the emergency call system left backup antenna (A2/54) and emergency call system right backup antenna (A2/55), if there is a fault in telephone antenna (A2/49a1) (model 211.0) or telephone antenna (A2/22) (model 211.2)
Internal error
^ GPS reception erroneous
^ Vehicle is not authorized or is in the progress of authorization
^ Defective memory at telecommunications control unit (N112)
^ The PIN (Personal Identification Number) was not stored in the telecommunications control unit (N112) by the user (e.g., after the PIN number was changed)
^ Fault in integrated transmitter/receiver of the telephone in the telecommunications control unit (N112)
The telecommunications control unit (N112) can be coded with STAR DIAGNOSIS so that the state display does not come on even when the system is not authorized (all other system errors are nonetheless indicated). The dealer must have the customer confirm deactivation of the state display in writing using a preprinted form.
