The emergency alarm system activate button (S62/6) triggers the emergency alarm system.
The alarm function is two stage. Pressing the emergency alarm system actuate button (S62/6) once triggers a "silent alarm" (1st stage). Pressing it twice actuates an "active alarm" (2nd stage).

Depending on the version coding in the special vehicle multifunction control module (SVMCM) (N26/9), no audible/visual feedback is provided regarding activation of the emergency alarm system. The "silent alarm" runs unnoticed.
