AN82.85-P-0003-01T Check Control Unit Versions Of MOST Components


The specified menu interface of STAR DIAGNOSIS corresponds to the German DAS version 05/2004 and may differ from other versions.

1 Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS to the data link connector (X11/4).
2 Run DAS, enter vehicle model and select "Control units" menu option.
3 In the "Control unit groups" menu select the following subgroups:
- "Information and communication"
- "Audio, video, navigation and telematics"
- "Control unit versions of the MOST components"
one after the other.

4 Print out the list with all control unit versions in the "Control unit versions of the MOST components" menu.
5 Compare the MB numbers on the printout with the control unit versions of the MOST components using the table and determine whether the MOST components have to be replaced.

The audio gateway control unit and the COMAND have to have their software release constantly updated by flashing it.

Make sure that the latest replacements for the MOST components designated for exchanging are available in order to be able to run COMAND.
