- with CODE (551a) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA)


Deactivate anti-theft alarm (ATA)
The anti-theft alarm (ATA) is deactivated by:
^ Actuating the "Unlock" button on the transmitter key (A8/1).
^ Unlock vehicle with keyless go
^ Inserting the transmitter key (A8/1) into the electronic ignition / starter switch control module (N73)

By transmitting the signal "Global unlocking" or "Selective unlocking" or recognizing a valid key in the EIS control module (N73), the anti-theft alarm (ATA) is disarmed and an alarm is actuated.

Alarm interrupt
The same conditions apply as for deactivation of the anti-theft alarm (ATA) and the alarm can additionally be interrupted with the signal "Vehicle locked", the anti-theft alarm (ATA) remains armed.

Panic alarm interruption on vehicles with code (763) radio remote control with panic switch)
The panic alarm is interrupted by:
^ Briefly pressing the transmitter button "Panic alarm" on the transmitter key (A8/1).
^ Inserting the transmitter key (A8/1) into the transmitter key opening on the EIS control module (N73).

Partial unarming
With the remote trunk release function (only on model 211.0) or tailgate remote release (only on model 211.2 with code (890) automatic tailgate) the ATA is disarmed only partially The ATA tilt sensor (B33), the trunk lid contact switch (S88/6) (only on model 211.0), the rear door locking unit (A72) (only on model 211.2) and the interior protection sensor (E15/3b2) (not on model 211.0 with code (413) panorama sliding roof) or the interior protection sensor (N70/2b1) (only on model 211.0 with code (413) panorama sliding roof) (on vehicles with code (882b) infrared interior monitoring (only with ATA)) are no longer actuated, all other alarm contacts remain active.
