GF72.29-P-4003PP Synchronization of Power Windows, Function

GF72.29-P-4003PP Synchronization Of Power Windows, Function

Synchronization links the counter reading for position recognition with the actual position of the side window in the relevant door control module.

The following control modules must be synchronized:
- Left front door control module (N69/1)
- Right front door control module (N69/2)
- Left rear door control module (N69/3)
- Right rear door control module (N69/4)

Model 203.7 is not equipped with rear door control modules or power window motors.

Synchronization must be performed whenever desynchronization has occurred.

Until a window is synchronized, the end position of the side window is unknown to the corresponding door control module and the automatic raising function cannot be carried out.
Synchronization is therefore required for the power window automatic raising function.

Performing synchronization
Move the relevant window with the power window switch into top block position and continue operating the switch in the manual raising function. When the control module detects a motor lock-up for at least 0.3 s, it sets the position recognition counter to zero.

As of 1.7.02 the synchronization is performed after 0.5 s.

The window is now in the synchronized state, this means that the control module can now switch off the motor during opening and closing of the window before the mechanical stop is reached.

Resynchronization
The control module automatically performs resynchronization when there is an error in position recognition, for example, if the position counter shows a negative count.
