Do not kink fiber optic cable, and do not route Risk of breakage over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm. Tensile forces on inserts must not exceed 65 N. Do not squeeze fiber optic cable and do not compress with clamps or cable ties.






1 Push catch tab (arrow) of Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) wiring harness outwards and pull black, 2-pin MOST coupling (14) of fiber optic cable module (8) out of MOST coupling housing (11).






2 Unclip blue retaining clip (15) from black 2-pin MOST coupling (14).
It must be ensured that the fiber optic cable module (8) is installed in contact cavity 1 (input) (arrow). If this is not the case, install fiber optic cable module (8) from chamber 2 in chamber 1.






3 Push catch tab (arrow) of second MOST wiring harness outwards and pull black, 2-pin MOST coupling (13) of fiber optic cable module (9) out of MOST coupling housing (12).
The MOST coupling housing (12) is no longer required.






4 Unclip blue retaining clip (16) from black 2-pin MOST coupling (13).
5 Release locking tab, remove fiber optic cable module (9) from MOST coupling (13).
The black, 2-pin MOST coupling (13) is no longer required.






6 Install fiber optic cable module (9) into contact cavity 2 (output) of black, 2-pin MOST coupling (14).
Fiber optic cable module (9) must latch audibly.

7 Install blue retaining clip (15) into black 2-pin MOST coupling (14).
8 Clip black 2-pin MOST coupling (14) into MOST coupling housing (11).
The MOST coupling housing (11) will be connected to the CD player with changer (in glove compartment) later.






9 Attach felt tape (20), to match size, starting from MOST coupling housing (11), to fiber optic cable module (8, 9).
10 Attach one piece of felt tape (21) each, to fiber optic cable module (8, 9), starting from MOST coupling housing (11).
Dimensions:
A =75 mm
B = 70 mm
C = dia. 140 mm






11 Unclip cover (12) from adapter coupling (10) in direction of arrows.
12 Install fiber optic cable module (8) in adapter coupling (10).
Fiber optic cable module (8) must latch audibly.






13 Route fiber optic cable module (8, 9) with black MOST coupling housing (11) from the radio recess into the glove compartment through the cutout.






14 Remove black, 2-pin MOST coupling (18) from black 44-pin radio coupling (1).






15 Unclip blue retaining clip (17) from black 2-pin MOST coupling (18).
16 Release catch tab, remove fiber optic cable module (7) from black, 2-pin MOST coupling (18).
17 Connect fiber optic cable module (7) with adapter coupling (10) of fiber optic cable module (8).
Fiber optic cable module (7) must latch audibly.

18 Clip cover (12) onto adapter coupling (10) and wind felt tape around it.






19 Install fiber optic cable module (9) into contact cavity 1 (input) of black, 2-pin MOST coupling (18).
Fiber optic cable module (9) must latch audibly.

20 Install blue retaining clip (17) into black, 2-pin MOST coupling (18).
21 Install black 2-pin MOST coupling (18) into black, 44-pin coupling of radio (1).
